Switching Processes

My thesis begins with the idea of publication and publishing using a risograph machine. From there it turned into how the risograph could be used to create graphic design that would be otherwise difficult to produce in other more digital ways. My project evolved to be about process and how I could go from digital methods to more analog ones and repeat that process. It no longer was just about publishing or the risograph, even though those both remain a large part of my output method. It is about the process of getting to the final product and how you switch from analog to digital methods to get there. This way of working creates unique work that would be difficult to produce using only analog or digital methods. In the end my output is a collection of process work of learning how the risograph can be used as a tool and learning to apply that way of working to other ways of printing. This collection will be bound in a spiral bound book. I also produced a poster that is the sum total of the knowledge and process that happened. And in keeping with publication output I created three other books; one with screen-printing and risograph combined and two that were produced only with risograph.
