Buen Día is an animated short that explores how typography is one of the deepest expressions of a city and its people. Through the eyes of a young motorcyclist, the story follows her journey at sunrise through the different neighborhoods of Miami, where typographic styles reflect the social, cultural, and economic differences of the city.
From the bright signage of South Beach to the hand painted signs of Little Haiti, words are an integral part of the Miami cityscape. At every corner, each font tells a unique story that reflects the personality and history of the neighborhood.
This project pays tribute to the diversity and richness of the city of Miami, highlighting the importance of design in our daily lives.
