Smell the Memories

Whether loved or loathed, scents are ever-pervasive in our memory.This book is a love letter to my hometown Guangzhou. Living far from home, I recall Guangzhou through the unique scents that I have come to miss. It's these scents that take me back to the place that I call home, whether it be the food, a dirty street corner, plants, even my pet turtle, all of which I can only currently experience in memory.I have chosen to demonstrate my memory by visualizing these scents. I utilize color and patterns to portray each scent, to rekindle those memories one by one, and as a way to invite you all to experience them
with me as well.
