Researching butterfly specimens‭ made me aware of their fragile, vulnerable and fleeting beauty. In response I began to reimagine the flatness of their wings as swollen solid forms evocative of both beauty and strength. The result is a series of augmented fashion accessories to remind their wearer of their own ability to persevere and thrive.
